New Services between Keio and Waseda, Direct Request and Mutual Visit (April 1, 2024) Added on November 6

We have made some changes to the Waseda-Keio service effective April 1.
This service change (expansion) was made possible as Waseda University and Keio University began joint operation of the library system in 2019. This service is positioned as a trial service in the 2024 academic year. It was officially launched on April 1, 2025 after a trial period.
We hope you will take advantage of this service, which will be easier to use than the previous one.

(1) Requesting and borrowing books between Waseda and Keio “Keio-Waseda Library Book Share”
Eligibility for service : full-time faculty & staff, and professor emeritus and graduate students
This service allows users to request books from the other institution’s library through the search system of home institution and borrow the books at their home libraries.
Previously, users have to request to issue a library card when borrowing books, and a separate application was required when requesting books from the other institution’s library.
*Services have been extended to graduate students since November 1. (Added on November 6)

(2) Visiting the other institution’s library using ID card with IC chip “Keio-Waseda Library Passport”
Service recipient : students and faculty/staff
This simplifies the procedure for visiting the other institution and allows you to use your own faculty/staff/student ID card with IC chip to enter the other institution’s library.
*Registration is required for the first time.
