The dates refer to the Brazilian calendar. Brazilian Fall Semester runs from February to June and the Brazilian Spring Semester runs from August to December.

We do not require Portuguese tests, but the Portuguese level should be good enough to follow the courses instructed in Portuguese I believe that a level between B1 and B2 (intermediate) would be desirable. It has not been fixed yet, but Exchange students must have a health insurance policy covering a minimum amount of EUR 30,000 (thirty thousand euros) or US$42,000 (forty-two thousand US dollars); which must be valid for the entire period of the exchange program.

  • 留学が必修となっている国際教養学部の学生は、学部の許可をとった上で応募してください。
    For SILS students participation in a year-long study abroad program is part of the general degree requirements.
    Therefore, you must consult with your School Office in advance if you wish to apply to a semester program(s).
  • 通年科目が設置されている学部に属する学生が春学期留学をする場合、 科目登録ができず、帰国後の秋学期の授業を受けられない可能性があります。
    その他、専門演習(ゼミ)の登録や履修ができない等、支障が出る可能性がありますので、 所属学部・研究科に問い合わせ、よく確認の上、出願して下さい。
    If your School has year-long programs, it is essential that you consult with your School Office before applying to a seminar program(s) as there will be a possibility that you may not be able to register for courses in the second (fall) semester and/or seminars (enshu, or so-called "zemi").
  • 延長生となって中期留学プログラムに参加する場合、学費は延長生学費ではなく、所定額をお支払いいただくことになります。
    詳細は各学部・研究科にお問い合わせください。
    Students on extension (encho-sei) who participate in semester programs are required to pay the full tuition and other academic fees set by their Schools instead of the reduced fees for students on extension.You should confirm details with your School Offices.
