大学概要

香港で二番目に古い歴史を持つ公立大学(1956年設立)。設立当初は、ミッション系の私立大学であったが、1983 年に実質的な総合大学化するのと同時に宗教に関係なく広く学生に門戸を開いた。中国医学を除き全ての授業が英語で行われている。 大学の規模は大きくなく、アットホームな雰囲気。キャンパスは香港の中心地でありながら、高級住宅街に位置しており、勉強をする上で落ち着いた環境が整っている。

Exchange students are free to choose and enroll in any courses list, provided them do not foresee any problem in medium of teaching and have also met the prerequisite requirements, if any, of the courses. For courses taught in Chinese are open to exchange student, your students are eligible as well providing that they are proficient in Chinese to follow the classes. Course prerequisites apply to some courses. Please note when choosing courses. You can find course code available in the course list open to exchange student and input the course code in this page for checking pre-requisite: https://handbook.ar.hkbu.edu.hk/2025-2026/course We accept students from different major and they can enroll all courses offered to exchange students (provided that they meet the prerequisite of the courses, if any). Level 3 (i.e. 3000-series) and Level 4 (i.e. 4000-series) courses are those courses which involve more advanced study skills often requiring Level 1 and Level 2 prerequisites.

  • 留学が必修となっている国際教養学部の学生は、学部の許可をとった上で応募してください。
    For SILS students participation in a year-long study abroad program is part of the general degree requirements.
    Therefore, you must consult with your School Office in advance if you wish to apply to a semester program(s).
  • 通年科目が設置されている学部に属する学生が春学期留学をする場合、 科目登録ができず、帰国後の秋学期の授業を受けられない可能性があります。
    その他、専門演習(ゼミ)の登録や履修ができない等、支障が出る可能性がありますので、 所属学部・研究科に問い合わせ、よく確認の上、出願して下さい。
    If your School has year-long programs, it is essential that you consult with your School Office before applying to a seminar program(s) as there will be a possibility that you may not be able to register for courses in the second (fall) semester and/or seminars (enshu, or so-called "zemi").
  • 延長生となって中期留学プログラムに参加する場合、学費は延長生学費ではなく、所定額をお支払いいただくことになります。
    詳細は各学部・研究科にお問い合わせください。
    Students on extension (encho-sei) who participate in semester programs are required to pay the full tuition and other academic fees set by their Schools instead of the reduced fees for students on extension.You should confirm details with your School Offices.
