大学は独立宣言起草者のひとりで、100ドル紙幣の顔になっているベンジャミン・フランクリンが創設者。
東部名門大学アイビーリーグの１校で、全米の大学の中でもトップ１０に入る大学。3つのキャンパスがあり、メインキャンパスはフィラデルフィア市内の西に位置する。キャンパス内には数多くの建物が点在し、中にはフィラデルフィアのランドマークになっている歴史的建造物もある。

Q.留学を通じて得た成果を教えてください
学習面においてはとても得たものが大きかった。基本的な教育のあり方から、設備や教材、リソースなどあらゆる面で生徒の学習環境に最適な大学であると感じた。もちろん早稲田とは比べ物にならないほど授業の内容は深いがその分学ぶことが多く、自分が学びたい分野をとことん追求することができた。特にペンはビジネスに強い大学であるためどの分野を学んでもビジネスに関連する情報を豊富に学ぶことができた。

"Consumer Behavior
Social Psychology"

→どちらもビジネスと心理学の関係性が密接に関連している授業であり、人間の本質とビジネスの関係をとても深く学ぶことができてとても面白かった。またどちらの授業も教授の質が良く、教え方や授業の進め方も上手であったため知識が深く定着した。

中期プログラム／出願上の注意ー Notes on Application to Semester Programs

留学が必修となっている国際教養学部の学生は、学部の許可をとった上で応募してください。
For SILS students participation in a year-long study abroad program is part of the general degree requirements.
Therefore, you must consult with your School Office in advance if you wish to apply to a semester program(s).
通年科目が設置されている学部に属する学生が春学期留学をする場合、科目登録ができず、帰国後の秋学期の授業を受けられない可能性があります。
その他、専門演習（ゼミ）の登録や履修ができない等、支障が出る可能性がありますので、所属学部・研究科に問い合わせ、よく確認の上、出願して下さい。
If your School has year-long programs, it is essential that you consult with your School Office before applying to a seminar program(s) as there will be a possibility that you may not be able to register for courses in the second (fall) semester and/or seminars (enshu, or so-called "zemi").
延長生となって中期留学プログラムに参加する場合、学費は延長生学費ではなく、所定額をお支払いいただくことになります。

Students on extension (encho-sei) who participate in semester programs are required to pay the full tuition and other academic fees set by their Schools instead of the reduced fees for students on extension.You should confirm details with your School Offices.
