Journalism Courses in MBA and Executive Development programmes Clinical practice courses Forest Biology (FORE218) Communication Disorders are open to students who meet pre-requisites except for the clinical practice courses. Social Work field work courses are not open to Exchange students. Entry to other theory courses will be considered case-by-case basis and approval from Social Work will be required. Engineering - students wishing to take courses in any Engineering subject should include a list of courses they wish to take at UC with their Exchange application. Students who meet general admission requirements will be granted admission to the University first as per usual and their courses will then be sent to the appropriate Engineering department(s) for a decision as to whether students are able to take their selected courses. The International Relationships Office (IRO) will then advise students as to which courses have been approved. Some other courses are limited entry and may have additional entry requirements. Please contact the International Mobility Team if students have enquiries about course restrictions.

Undergraduate students need to have completed enough study in academic subjects at bachelor degree level. They also need to have background in certain subjects to meet the pre-requirements of course if applicable. The standard course load is 60 points per semester. Minimum course load is 45 points per semester (90 points per year) and the maximum load is 75 points per semester, which is considered to be a heavy workload and not recommended.

It’s approx. NZD 5,400 for a 22 week stay on campus plus $800 deposit (self-catered in Semester 2 2023 which is an accommodation package for Exchange students. Information about accommodation for 2024-2025 is not available yet.)

648 (for 2022 only, weekly meal plan at on-campus accommodation is $161.20 per week. $162 x 4 weeks = $648. Cost of single meals can vary. Information for 2024-2025 will be available later.)

  • 留学が必修となっている国際教養学部の学生は、学部の許可をとった上で応募してください。
    For SILS students participation in a year-long study abroad program is part of the general degree requirements.
    Therefore, you must consult with your School Office in advance if you wish to apply to a semester program(s).
  • 通年科目が設置されている学部に属する学生が春学期留学をする場合、 科目登録ができず、帰国後の秋学期の授業を受けられない可能性があります。
    その他、専門演習(ゼミ)の登録や履修ができない等、支障が出る可能性がありますので、 所属学部・研究科に問い合わせ、よく確認の上、出願して下さい。
    If your School has year-long programs, it is essential that you consult with your School Office before applying to a seminar program(s) as there will be a possibility that you may not be able to register for courses in the second (fall) semester and/or seminars (enshu, or so-called "zemi").
  • 延長生となって中期留学プログラムに参加する場合、学費は延長生学費ではなく、所定額をお支払いいただくことになります。

    Students on extension (encho-sei) who participate in semester programs are required to pay the full tuition and other academic fees set by their Schools instead of the reduced fees for students on extension.You should confirm details with your School Offices.
