1. The reason why you decided to come to Waseda, GSE.
I graduated from the University of Blida (Algeria) with a bachelor degree in finance & trade sciences. My professional career began at the National Agency of Investment Development where dealing with foreign investments made me more interested in international economics, especially foreign direct investment. I chose Waseda University because it is one of the best universities of economics, well known, and has a great reputation all over the world. It is also considered as an important destination for international students who desire to study in Japan.
2. Your academic interest
Waseda Graduate School of Economics offers a variety of economics courses, both theoretical and empirical. It also offers numerous research and study opportunities, and has a rich library. I would like to extend my knowledge of international economics and economic data analysis using different statistical software, to enrich my thesis, in collaboration with the highly-qualified professors at Waseda University.
3. Your future plan after finishing GSE
After I finish my master’s degree, I will return to my country with additional experience. I would strongly share the knowledge and all the skills I obtained to contribute to the improvement of foreign investment in my country, as an alternative solution to economic development outside the oil sector.
