Request a Certificate

Various certificates are issued by the Certificate Issuing Machine or at the convenience store. Registered students are charged a handling fee of 300 yen for a single certificate. Graduates, early leavers are charged a handling fee of 400 yen for a single certificate. Certificates are issued as follows.

*In principle, those who are in need to issue certificates are to apply them by online application and receive them at the Certificate Issuing Machine or the convenient store.

• Certificate of Commuter
  In order to buy a commuter pass from private bus companies, you need to have Certificate of Commute.  Please get the certificate at the SILS office preliminarily.   In order to buy the commuter pass by JR, Private Railway Company, Metropolitan Railway Company, and etc , you can buy one at the station.  The SILS office does not issue the Certificate of Commute for the pass by the railway companies.
• If you need to demonstrate that the primary language at SILS is English, please present this document to the institution where you will be entering or working.
• Some certificates need several days to be issued.
• Certificate of tuition fee takes about 2 days to be issued.  It takes approximately 20 – 45 days for your payment to be reflected in the school certificate data.
  In case you have paid study abroad fees directly to your host university, the payment certificate is available at the CIE (Center for International Education).
