・Lost items turned in to the Waseda University campus offices will be stored in different locations depending on the number of days passed from the date of the turn-in (Please check the facilities you used on the day you lost it).
・As a general rule, after the period of storage passed, lost items will be transferred to the Student Affairs Section or police station etc.
・As a general rule, all lost items that have been in storage for more than three months from the date they were found will be disposed of.
・“Cash”, “Items containing cash” (such as wallets), “Valuables”, “Electronic devices” (such as smartphones, PCs), “Cards” (such as transportation IC cards, credit cards) will be transferred to the police station one month after they are found. These items which don’t belong to students or faculty members of Waseda University will be transferred a week after they are found.
・If the owner of the lost item is found to be a student or faculty member of Waseda university, we will contact the owner by Waseda email or phone.

Items picked up on Waseda campus will be consolidated at the Waseda Portal Office (hereinafter referred to as WPO). If the owner of the lost item cannot be contacted, or if the owner is contacted but does not come to pick up the lost item, the item will be transferred to the Student Affairs Section seven days after it is turned in. After that, if the lost item is not picked up by the owner, it will be kept for three months from the date it was found, and then all the items will be disposed of.
However, lost items found at the following facilities on Waseda Campus are handled by the following offices:

The day after the item is picked up, it will be transferred to the Student Affairs Section, where it will be kept for three months. After that, if the lost item is not picked up by the owner, it will be kept for three months from the date it was found, and then all the items will be disposed of.
Items picked up on Waseda Arena, Including Toyama Hill etc will be consolidated at the office of Athletic Center. If the owner of the lost item cannot be contacted, or if the owner is contacted but does not come to pick up the lost item, the item will be transferred to the Student Affairs Section seven days after it is turned in. After that, if the lost item is not picked up by the owner, it will be kept for three months from the date it was found, and then all the items will be disposed of.

*If the office where you want to turn in the item you picked up is closed, please turn in it to the security guard’s office at each campus.
If you turn in “Cash”, “Items containing cash” (such as wallets), “Valuables”, “Electronic devices” (such as smartphones, PCs), “Cards” (such as transportation IC cards, credit cards) to the respective office, etc., it will be treated as a waiver of the finder’s right.
If you do not waive your founders’ rights, please bring it to the nearest police box or police station.
・Before it is transferred to the Student Affairs Section office, you have to pick it up at each office.
・Lost items brought to the Student Affairs Section office will be picked up at the Student Affairs Section office (Closed on Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays and university holidays).
・Only the owner can receive it at the Student Affairs Section office and no one other than the owner can receive it.
・You will need your student ID and faculty ID to pick it up. If you are not student or faculty member of Waseda university, or if you lost your student ID or faculty ID, please bring an official identification such as a driver’s license or an insurance card.
Umbrellas will not be transferred to the Student Affairs Section office. Depending on where you lost it, please contact below.
