Research Summary
This institute works as a fundamental research center for Italian Studies in Japan. We promote the Italian studies of humanities, socials science, and natural science and aims to make it as an interdisciplinary research field. Based on the researchers and the adjunct researchers specific research activities, the institute promotes interdisciplinary research and seeks to enhance academic and international collaboration between Japan and Italy. Further, we will publish our research activities to the public, enhance the Italian-Japanese relationship through the collaboration with Italian academic institution and researchers, and stimulate the exchange in both two countries.
To achieve these objectives, the institute conducts the following activities:
- Promotion of research by researchers and adjunct researchers
- Promotion of interdisciplinary joint research
- Creation of academic research network
- Organization of international symposia, research meetings, and other events
- Publication of institute bulletins and books
- Promotion of academic and cultural exchange
- Provision of advice and consultation for study abroad
- Promotion of joint research and commissioned research
- Social contribution through the public lectures
