Graduate School of Asia-Pacific Studies (GSAPS) at Waseda University and Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) have established a new master’s double-degree program in December 2019, which is the first double degree program between the two universities
5 students are expected to participate in this program each year, and they will study at the host university for one year. Students will take classes in English at both universities, and going to have academic research guidance from professors from both universities. Students who fulfil the requirements of this program will receive two academic master’s degrees in 2 years at the earliest.
Waseda University and Université Libre de Bruxelles have been exchanging students and faculty since they established its first agreement in 1996. GSAPS and ULB have also established an agreement for the exchange program in 2017 and exchanging students every year since then
The university hopes this double degree program will promote the exchange between faculty and students of the two universities and strengthen the relationship between two universities.
