Initially started in 2011 as a project subsidized by the “Re-Inventing Japan Project” of the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) (the subsidized period: 2011 -2015), the EAUI (East Asian University Institute) Program is a joint education program developed and managed by the College of Political Science and Economics, Korea University (Korea), the School of Humanities and Social Science, Nanyang Technological University (Singapore), the School of International Studies, Peking University (PRC), the Faculty of Political Science, Thammasat University (Thailand) and the Graduate School of Asia-Pacific Studies, Waseda University (Japan) with an aim of fostering young scholars who can contribute to regional integration and cooperation in the East Asian region. The EAUI Program consists of the key components outlined below.
You can spend one semester (spring/fall) as an exchange student at one of the four partner universities. (Note: Scholarship students of MEXT, JICE/JICA, World Bank, IMF and Overseas Governments are not eligible to participate.) For more details, please click here.
The Summer School is an intensive program hosted by one of the five partner universities in which students and faculty members from all five partner universities explore a theme related to regional integration and cooperation in East Asia. Waseda students who have completed the entire program will receive official course credits.
