Research Theme, Outline of Project Research Seminar, Message to Prospects
In this seminar, you will study how international law and organizations work in international relations. The Russia-Ukraine war has made some people feel that international law and the UN are useless, but even in such a situation, I still believe that they can contribute to the pacific settlement of disputes and a peaceful international order. Although students need not agree, they are expected to learn what international law and organizations can and cannot do, and how to utilize them to improve the international society. I welcome the students who would consider these questions whilst in school and contribute to realizing a better world after graduation.
