〇Issuance of certificates in-person
If you are able to log in to MyWaseda, enter the application screen from the “Certificate Issuance (Online Application)” menu, and select “Convenience store” or “Printing in school” for your application, and you can have your certificate issued on the same day at the earliest. For alumni who wish to use an email address other than their Waseda Mail address, or who wish to have their Waseda Mail address and password reissued, please consider issuing your certificate in-person at the university, as it will take a couple of days to process initial registrations and reissuing email addresses.
*Please be aware of the operating hours of the certificate issuing machines and the opening hours of the university’s administrative offices.
*Please note that some certificates cannot be issued on the same day, and that some certificates have limited options on issuance methods.

Your GPA will not be listed on your “Transcript”. “GPA Certificate” with GPA information can only be requested and issued for students enrolled in April 2010 or later.
No, failed courses will not be listed on the transcript.
“GPA Certificate” shows the grades, grade points of the all applicable courses, and GPA. All courses that you registered for as courses applicable to being counted towards graduation (excluding courses graded “N”, “P” and “Q”). Both pass and fail courses are eligible.
A corresponding value known as a grade point (4 points for an A+, 3 points for an A, 2 points for a B, 1 point for a C, and 0 points for a non-passing grade) is given in accordance with the grade for each course.
GPA (grade point average) is determined by adding the product of the number of credits for courses to the grade point corresponding to the grade, and dividing this total by the total number of credits registered.
The transcript will show the date of admission, but not the date of graduation or the degree earned. If you need a certificate that includes the date of graduation and the name of the degree you received, please apply for a “Certificate of Graduation (Completion)” or “Transcript & Certificate of Graduation(Completion)”.
The date of enrollment, the date of graduation(completion), and the name of the degree obtained will be written on the “Certificate of Graduation (Completion)”.
The period of absence from school will not be shown on the “Certificate of Graduation (Completion)”.
The “Certificate of Withdrawal” will state the date of withdrawal and the fact that the student has withdrawn from the University as of that date.
In principle, the University will not accept requests from alumni to change their name registered at the university. If your surname and/or name has changed since you were enrolled, and you are required to submit your certificate to an institution, please consider submitting a copy of your family register together with your certificate. However, if it is determined that the applicant would suffer disadvantages if their registered name was not changed (e.g., if you were married and changed your surname while enrolled in university but divorced and returned to your maiden name after graduation, or if you are an international student and changed your name after naturalization), we may make an exception. In such cases, please contact your undergraduate /graduate school office in advance.
