Dear Students,
The format of the Student Discount Certificate (School Student Passenger Fare Discount Certificate)
will change effective November 23, 2026, following the JR Group’s discontinuation of round-trip and consecutive train tickets.
Under the new format:
- The categories for “one-way,” “round-trip,” and “consecutive” tickets will be removed.
- A single certificate can be used to enter up to two travel sections.
- One certificate can be used to purchase up to two one-way ordinary passenger tickets for travel sections of more than 100 kilometers.
To prepare for this change, the issuance of certificates will be suspended at all on-campus certificate-issuing machines and administrative office counters during the following period.

Notes
- During the suspension period, certificates will also be unavailable at the offices of the Graduate School of Information,
Production and Systems, Waseda University Senior High School, Waseda University Honjo Senior High School, and Waseda Portal Office. - If you plan to use a certificate, please obtain one before the suspension period.
- Certificates issued using the previous format will remain valid until their expiration dates.
