Waseda University’s Health Promotion: The Joy of Sports and Exercise Unit (Top Global University) invited Dr. Boraxbekk from Umeå University, Sweden, to give an online lecture on March 9.
Prof. Takayuki Akimoto (Faculty of Sport Sciences, Waseda University) introduced Prof. Boraxbekk and “MIRAI 2.0”, an exchange program between universities in Japan and Sweden.
This hour-long online lecture, titled “Physical exercise and brain aging”, was attended by about 40 participants, and featured a variety of research findings on the effects of exercise on cranial nerves, including experimental results of aerobic exercise and stretching, as well as comparisons of brain aging rates.
After the main session, many participants asked questions about the interesting and familiar content of the lecture, such as “brain aging” and “cognitive function”. Dr. Boraxbekk answered each question with a polite “Good question!” and all those participating were able to exchange opinions.
