(*日本語版の案内はこちら/Click here for the Japanese version of the guide)

About the “Provisional Laboratory Assignment – 1st Round”

Eligible students should contact the faculty members of their desired laboratory via email and conduct an interview or other necessary meetings between Friday, September 12, and Monday, September 29.
*Please use this page to find the supervisor’s email address.

When emailing a professor, be sure to use the following subject line:
“(September 2025 Entrant) Application for Provisional Laboratory Assignment.”

In the email body, clearly state your student ID and name, and attach a completed “Self-Introduction Sheet” for Laboratory Assignment (available at the bottom of this page).

After sending an email or having an interview with a faculty member, if you decide not to request assignment to that laboratory, you must inform the faculty member of your decision. Failure to do so may result in serious issues and could lead to not being assigned to any laboratory during the 1st round.

The Course Registration Guidance (September 11) will include details on the maximum number of students per laboratory (This information will also be posted at the bottom of this page: to be uploaded at a later date.).
Laboratories that do not list a capacity (e.g., those of retiring faculty) are not available for provisional assignment applications.
