健康スポーツ科学拠点は、２０２３年度訪問教員として、バース大学よりルイ・ビスカイア先生（Associate Professor Rui BISCAIA）をお招きし、２０２３年６月２６日から７月１９日までの間、対面にて集中講義「Sport Sponsorship Management」を開催しています。また、７月１３日にはミニ・ワークショップ「Publishing in Sport Management Journals」の開催も予定されています。
今回の集中講義のコース概要は以下の通りです（シラバスより抜粋）。
This course aims to develop knowledge of the theories and principles of sport sponsorship. It follows a structured approach covering the importance of sponsorship for the parties involved, as well as the planning, implementation and evaluation processes. Different types of sponsorship in the sport context are discussed. The risks and challenges associated with sport sponsorship are also critically analysed, as well as how these can be mitigated in order to promote critical reflection and help students’ future professional practice. In addition to providing students with background theories, the course also relies on examples and case studies from diverse sport contexts.

受入教員のドナ・ウォン准教授(写真左側)より記念品の贈呈を受け、面談を行いました。
ビスカイア先生は、主な研究テーマとして、スポーツ消費者、組織、アスリート、スポンサーの架け橋となることに重点を置き、世界各国の研究者とプロジェクトを展開し、これまで数多くのジャーナルで50以上の論文を発表なさっています。

また、European Sport Management Quarterlyの共同編集者、その他数々のジャーナルの編集委員も務め、Marie Curie Research and Innovation Staff Exchangeの「スポーツ・メガイベントの開催における不平等への対応、多様性の強化、対話の促進」に関する主任研究責任者でもいらっしゃいます。今回の来日での授業、そしてミニ・ワークショップも、グローバルな活躍を目指す学生たちにとって、貴重な経験になることでしょう。
