Hi! I’m Mana. I’m a JCulP student, studying Japanese culture specializing in English Literature.
I’m very interested in how coming-of-narratives have represented women’s lives, constructed or deconstructed ideals of girlhood and womanhood, and played a role in the development of feminism.
My subject of study is addressing themes such as gender roles, puberty, sexuality, socializing, romance, marriage, family and considering how some themes are shared across cultures, while other are tied to their cultural contexts.
I like staying at guest houses, reading books and tap dancing.
