Starting from the 2025 academic year, Faculty of Social Sciences has begun registrations for the Scholarship Registration Form for International Students.

*Doctoral students who only intend to apply for ”Scholarship for Fostering Researchers in Doctoral Programs” are not required to register for the above form.
(Including students of nationality other than Japan who presently reside in Japan and whose visa eligibility is that of a “Permanent Resident” or “Spouse or Child of Permanent Resident”.)
Waseda University offers various forms of internal and external financial aid, including scholarships sponsored by Japan Student Service Organization (JASSO), and other privately financed scholarships. The Scholarship for Fostering Researchers in Doctoral Programs was established in the 2009 academic year to support promising young researchers. It is available to doctoral students (from first to third year) who are within the standard duration of their program and meet all eligibility requirements, with the exception of those who are exempt from paying tuition fees (e.g., government-sponsored international students or Waseda University research associates).
