The doctoral program at the Graduate School of Social Sciences is based on the two majors, Global Society and Policy Sciences from the master’s program, and built on each of their research and education programs. Therefore, the objective of the doctoral degree is to deepen the research conducted in each master’s program.
One of the basic features of the doctoral program is its Graduate Night School course, which is open to working people and will allow those students who attended the master’s program at night to continue their research. With such features, the doctoral program aims at providing admission opportunities for working people with a strong desire to develop their research from the master’s program, as well as at meeting demands from social science researchers and fostering specialized professionals.
Another feature of this program is its objective to cultivate people with abilities to find and solve problems by focusing the fundamentals of its research and education programs on combining theoretical research and practical experience-based research.
