Starting in April 2026, the student parking lot will change to a gate-controlled system.  The application procedures have also been changed, so please check the updated information.
Please note that there will be no changes to the staff parking lot operation.

Usage Fees and Payment

Eligible Users Cost
Students (April admission) including Research Associate JPY3,000 (From April to March)
Students (September admission) including Research Associate JPY1,500 * (From October to March) or (From April to September)
Faculty, Staff and Researcher excluding Research Associate JPY36,000 (From April to March)
  • You can join in the middle of the month; however, there is no prorated fee.

  • An additional withdrawal (processing) fee is required.

  • Starting from April 2023, Research Associates are eligible to use the student parking lot.

Direct Debit (The Nishi-Nippon City Bank, The Bank of Fukuoka, Chikuho Bank, The Bank of Saga, The Juhachi-Shinwa Bank only)

Required documents and submission

[Submission deadline]

By 16:00, two business days before your desired start date (or change date).

    ※If submission is not completed by the deadline, the system cannot register it, the gate will not open, and entry will not be permitted.

    ※Please note that the submission method differs depending on whether you are a student or a faculty/staff member.

[For students (commuting): Please submit via the web form.]

Please take photos of all the required documents using a smartphone or scan them to create electronic files and upload them via the application form. Submission of paper documents is not required.

  6. (Students only) Parking Space Certificate or a contract related to the parking space at your residence

[For students (commuting): For temporary vehicle changes (e.g., replacement vehicles)]

If you need to use a temporary replacement vehicle due to vehicle inspection, repairs, or other reasons, please submit a Vehicle Change Notification (Commuting) via  Vehicle Change Application Form by 16:00, two business days before the replacement vehicle’s start date.

[For faculty and staff(commuting): Please submit the documents in paper form to the IPS office.]

Please prepare all the required documents and submit them in paper form directly at the IPS office counter (the application form is not used).

  1. Application Form for parking permit 【For Faculty, Staff and Researcher 】   ※There is no separate vehicle change notification form for commuting. When changing vehicles, please fill in the new vehicle information on the Commuting Use Application Form and submit it.
  2. Copy of your driver’s license (both side)
  3. Copy of automobile inspection certificate
  4. Copy of compulsory automobile liability insurance
  5. Copy of voluntary insurance

Parking Lot Usage rules

Designated Parking area For Student and Staff (IPS)

Please be sure to use the designated parking area. Parking outside the permitted area is prohibited. The usage rules vary depending on the time period, as outlined below.

[Until the end of March]

To use the parking lot, you must apply for a permit and display it visibly inside your vehicle. While waiting for the official permit to be issued after submitting the application, please receive a temporary permit  from the IPS office, display it, and use the designated parking area. The official permit will be handed to you later in exchange for the temporary permit.

[From April onward]

The student parking lot now uses a gate system, and only pre-registered vehicles can enter. Entry on the day without prior registration is not allowed under any circumstances. The gate opens and closes based on the registered vehicle’s license plate, so no parking permit will be issued.

Cancellation

In order to cancel your contract, you must notify IPS Office one month in advance.

Submission destination: IPS office or Cancellation Notice Form

Required documents: 

  1. Cancellation Form (For Staff and Students) H28.8 ※No refund for mid-term cancellations for a student parking lot
  2. Bank account Information for cancellation refund   ※Only faculty and staff with one-off payment contract
  • Important until the end of March: Please return your permit by the cancellation date. After returning it, you cannot use the parking lot even if your contract period has not ended.

  • Important from April onward: You may enter and exit the parking lot until the cancellation date.

Other important notes

As of the April 2022 revision, student parking will no longer be permitted for residents of Waseda Shukusha and Sakura House.
