Special consideration for Class absence
You can request the special considerations for class absence only when you miss the classes due to the reason listed below by finishing the procedure at the SPSE Admin Office.
When you are infected with Covid19 or Influenza, you do not need to submit a Certificate of Recovery from Infectious Disease Form (学校における感染症治癒証明書).

If you would like to request the consideration for class absence due to the reason except the above reasons (public transportation delay, Injury or illness, job hunting, etc.), please consult with each instructor.

*If you would like to request the special considerations due to the infection with Covid19, Influenza, etc., please report your infection to us using the link above and follow the procedure listed in the auto-reply email that will be sent after the report.
There may be cases where a class is cancelled due to unavoidable circumstances, such as university events or the circumstances of the instructor of the course.
In addition, there are cases where all classes of the university may be cancelled due to worsening weather conditions, etc.

AY2025 Office Hours/School of Political Science and Economics
Students can visit professors’ office to ask questions and consult with professors. In the SPSE, in principle, please contact the professors by e-mail to make an appointment. If you do not know thie instructor’s email address, please contact the SPSE office.
Since AY2023 Spring Semester, evaluation results have been disclosed to all students on the SPSE Website, to promote feedback to all students who responded to the survey.
(The disclosure period is two years from the date of publication.)
However, this excludes “Short answer” for all courses as well as answers for the following courses.

The WASEDA Teaching Award was launched in the Academic Year 2014 in order to award academic staff who practice outstanding education. The award also formed part of initiatives aimed at utilizing, enlivening and improving the quality of students’ lesson questionnaires in addition to further improving the quality of education through the promulgation of outstanding educational methods and innovation.
