The Center for Positive Political Economy was established in September 2014 on the 12th Floor of Building No. 3 at Waseda University’s Graduate School of Political Science to tackle the theme of “Positive Political Economy,” in which research has progressed globally in recent years. The research center is largely composed of the 22 academic staff affiliated to the Faculty of Political Science and Economics, Waseda University. It was selected by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology for the “Strategic Research Base Development Program for Private Universities” (“Building Centers of Positive Political Economy Research Based on Theory and Evidence,” Research Representative: Hideki Konishi).
WINPEC is both a research center for the Faculty of Political Science and Economics and a core political science, economics, and journalism research facility for Waseda University as a whole.
