Interdisciplinary Studies of Culture

Stepping beyond the constraints of previously established academic fields, which are often restricted by time and region, these studies examine the complexity of the structures of human culture, using comparative research and relational analyses of interchanges and liminal spaces between cultural regions. The materials to be studied range from food, clothing, and shelter, to language, literature, art, religion, philosophy, aesthetic sensibilities, mentalities, politics, economics, technology, medicine, and international relations.

We offer Programs in: Comparative Culture, Linguistic Culture, Cultural Anthropology, Intercultural Contact and Cultural Awareness.
