The Residence Life Center staff participated in an event on Leadership Development Program (LDP) held by the University on November 13, 2023 as part of their training.
In the first half of the program,Dr. Cynthia Cherry, President and CEO of the International Leadership Association (ILA), the world’s largest organization supporting leadership research and development, visited the Center for Global Education and delivered a lecture on leadership education.
She explained that future leadership will require “connection” and “relationships” and opined that diversity and cultural understanding are essential for this to happen.
In the second half of the program experienced a question-and-answer workshop by Professor Mikinari Higano of the Center for Global Education, Waseda University, a leading authority on leadership education in Japan.

The learnings from this program will be of great significance in our future activities.
