Abstract /抄録 |
In article number 2303655, Atsushi Shimojima and co-workers present a novel concept of self-healing polysiloxane materials based on molecular capsules of a healing agent. Fluoride ions encapsulated in cage-type germoxane molecules are released through hydrolytic cleavage of the cages. These released ions catalyze the rearrangement of siloxane bonds, thereby enabling the healing of cut surfaces in the siloxane elastomers. |
