Commencement of support for work-life balance and expansion of application to partners in personnel systems

Effective April 1, 2022, Waseda University has newly started to apply to partners* of faculty and staff, children of partners, and relatives of partners various personnel systems such as relocating to a new post system, childcare and nursing care support, and vacations/leave of absence for spouses, children, and relatives of faculty and staff members.

 Applicable systems (examples)
 Relocating to a new post system  Subsidies for relocation travel expenses, various allowances for expatriates, etc.
  Vacation/Leave of Absence  Marital and bereavement leave, childcare leave, nursing care leave, etc.
 Payment  Dependent care allowance for relatives, medical coverage for incumbents, etc.

 

We will continue our efforts to respect and promote diversity in order to create a fair work environment where diverse people can work together regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.

* About “partners”

Regardless of the gender of the person, the person recognized by the university as being in a de facto marriage with a faculty or staff member is considered a “partner”, and the above system is applied in the same way as the spouse of a faculty or staff member.
