Effective April 1, 2022, Waseda University has newly started to apply to partners* of faculty and staff, children of partners, and relatives of partners various personnel systems such as relocating to a new post system, childcare and nursing care support, and vacations/leave of absence for spouses, children, and relatives of faculty and staff members.

We will continue our efforts to respect and promote diversity in order to create a fair work environment where diverse people can work together regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.
* About “partners”
Regardless of the gender of the person, the person recognized by the university as being in a de facto marriage with a faculty or staff member is considered a “partner”, and the above system is applied in the same way as the spouse of a faculty or staff member.
