As COVID-19 vaccinations have been implemented at many workplaces and universities, we would like to detail the procedure to ask for consideration for your class absence(s) due to vaccinations and the side effects. Please read the instructions below.
*Non-CJL students should follow the instructions from their affiliated school offices.
*Please note that the instructors of each course will make the final decision of the consideration. Completing the procedure below does not guarantee consideration for your absences.
Applicable Cases
- When your vaccination appointment overlaps with your class:
Although students are recommended to avoid scheduling a vaccination that overlaps with their class hours, there may be inevitable cases such as when the waiting time is unexpectedly long or when they are forced to reschedule their appointments. If you miss a class due to such cases, you can ask your instructors for consideration for your class absence(s). - When you experience side effects after your vaccination:
If the side effects make it difficult for you to attend a class, you can ask your instructors for consideration for your class absence(s).
How to Submit a Notification of Absence
① Fill out the form “Notification of Absence due to Covid-19 Vaccination” on the link below and submit it to the CJL office with a document that proves your vaccination details (date, venue, etc.).

② The CJL office will check the documents and sign them.
③ Submit the signed documents to your instructors to ask for consideration for absence(s).
