Tuition Fee (Japanese Language Program tuition fee for second semester)(2017)

Eligible students

Japanese Language Program students for one-year students (Self-Financed students ONLY)

*Government-sponsored students (MEXT students), exchange students, or Ting Hsin International Group Scholarship, Japan-China Culture Community Center students are not required.

Payment Procedure (for the second semester)

Tuition fees and the payment period for the second semester are indicated below. Payment must be made before the second semester begins at a bank within Japan using the payment sheet distributed at the CJL office.

Note:

  • Please do not make your payment through the Internet or an ATM since your name will not be specified.
  • In principal, overseas wiring transfer is NOT accepted.
  • If a student fails to pay the tuition fee by the due date, his/her enrollment will be cancelled.
  • No installment plan is available.
  • Tuition fees cannot be refunded.

Audit/Course Enrollment Fees

If in addition to Japanese Language courses, JLP students register for “University-wide Open Courses” or for courses offered by other undergraduate schools, separate audit/course enrollment fees in addition to the tuition fee for JLP may be required. For details, please refer to either “University-wide Open Course registration Guidebook (booklet in Japanese only)” or the webpage of the Global Education Center.

Tuition Fee for Japanese Language Course (2017)

Eligible students

Students who take Japanese Language Course (Undergraduate students・Graduate Students, and Faculty/Researchers visiting Waseda from overseas institutions)

Requirements for paying Tuition Fee for Japanese Language Courses are determined according to your status at Waseda University and/or the number of credits which you have registered. Confirm your status by referring to the table below.

【Notice】Regardless of whether you have to pay or not, a “¥” mark will be shown on MyWaseda course registration list on the item that says “NOTE”.

1) Undergraduate Students

*2) This applies to those who are recognized as possessing scholastic ability equivalent to or greater than that of a Japanese senior high school graduate.

Instructions for Payment of Tuition Fee for Japanese Language Courses

1) Payment Sheet Distribution

After registration has been completed, all Applicable non-degree undergraduate students, and graduate students, Faculty/Researchers visiting Waseda from overseas institutions are required to pay tuition fee. Please come to pick up the designated payment sheet at Center for Japanese Language Office during the payment period.

2) Payment through Bank teller

  • Pay the amount indicated on the payment sheet through the teller window of a nearby bank by the designated due date.
  • Installment payment is not available .

3) Important Notice

  • Requests to add or drop courses after the 3rd course registration period will NOT be accepted for any reason.
  • You are required to pay for all registered courses even if you have decided not to attend them. (Registered courses cannot be dropped after the 3rd registration period.)
  • If you don’t pay the Tuition Fee by the due date, you will not be accepted to attend any registered courses. To avoid this, be sure that you drop courses during the course drop period.
  • You may not pay Tuition Fee after the due date. Tuition Fee is non-refundable.
