A Japanese Language Learning Support Program for International Students:”Waseda Nihongo Support”
At IPS, we offer the “Waseda Nihongo Support” program for international students.
Features
At IPS, we offer a workshop-style program called “Waseda Nihongo Support,” which focuses on practical Japanese conversation education. The program sets the acquisition of Japanese language proficiency equivalent to the JLPT N2 level as a concrete educational goal. Through Japanese language education, it aims to deepen understanding of Japanese culture and social customs, promote interaction with the local community, and develop communication skills that are useful for job hunting.
The program features a practical learning style centered on role-playing, unconstrained by traditional formats. This allows participants to experience “living Japanese” in ways that are difficult to achieve in a typical classroom setting.
Program Overview
This program is offered on a semester basis. It is held twice a month (on Saturdays) over a period of nine months, excluding the beginning and end of the academic year, with five experienced Japanese language instructors invited to lead the sessions.
The program is also scheduled to be held during the Fall Semester of the 2025 academic year (October to February).
*Please note that applications for the Spring Semester have already closed.
