The award ceremony was held at the Gakushikaikan on December 24, 2024.

About the award
The Journal of Robotics and Mechatronics Best Paper Award was established to encourage research in the field of robotics and mechatronics and to contribute to the advancement of this discipline. The award is presented to the most outstanding paper selected from those published in the Journal of Robotics and Mechatronics (JRM) during the previous year.
This year, the selection process targeted papers published in Vol. 35 of the 2023 edition. Among the 148 eligible papers, Professor Tanaka and his reserach team’s paper was selected to receive the Journal of Robotics and Mechatronics Best Paper Award 2024.
