データセット構築、統計的データ分析、社会科学実験などを通じて、平和と戦争の科学を推進する。その際、所属している研究員のもつ多様な国際協同研究ネットワークを用いて、国際共著による成果形成を試みる。２０２６年度は、前期に来訪する、ETHZのCederman教授からは内戦をめぐる平和科学、エラスムス大学のOnderco教授からは実験を通じた平和科学、エモリー大学のReiter教授からはコミットメント問題とシグナリングをめぐる平和科学、イエール大学のLee助教授からは日韓比較を用いた平和科学に関する探究をそれぞれ披露いただき、それらを踏まえた研究プロジェクトを進めることを模索する。

The construction of datasets, statistical data analysis, and social science experiments are conducted to advance the science of peace and war. In this process, the diverse international collaborative research networks of the affiliated researchers are utilized to attempt the formation of outcomes through international co-authorship. In the fiscal year 2026, during the first term, we will receive presentations on peace science from Professor Cederman of ETHZ regarding civil wars, from Professor Onderco of Erasmus University concerning peace science through experimentation, from Professor Reiter of Emory University focusing on commitment issues and signaling in peace science, and from Assistant Professor Lee of Yale University exploring peace science through a comparative study of Japan and South Korea. Based on these insights, we will seek to advance research projects accordingly.
