概要
理念 Mission
「現代日本の政治学・経済学的研究、およびこれに関連する政治学・経済学の基礎的研究を目的」として設立され、その後、「現代日本のマス・コミュニケーション研究」が加えられた。現在は、現代社会が直面する政治、経済、ジャーナリズム、マス・メディアの諸課題を取り上げて研究し、すぐれた分析を提示するとともに、各界に有益な政策提言をなすことを基本的理念として、研究活動を行っている。
政治経済学術院の研究拠点であるとともに、早稲田大学の政治・経済・ジャーナリズム研究の中心的機関となっている。
The Waseda Institute of Political Economy was established with the aim of conducting political science and economic research on contemporary Japan, as well as basic research in related fields of political science and economics. Research on mass communication in contemporary Japan was subsequently added to its scope.
Today, the Institute conducts research on a wide range of issues facing contemporary society in the fields of politics, economics, journalism, and mass media. Its core mission is to provide high-quality analysis and offer valuable policy recommendations to various sectors of society.
The Institute serves as a research hub for the Faculty of Political Science and Economics and as a leading center for research in politics, economics, and journalism at Waseda University.
