メッセージ
After finishing my Master’s at the Waseda Graduate School of Law, I wanted to further pursue my studies about international human rights law and women’s right to work. Also, as I love Waseda, if possible I wanted to continue studying here during my Doctorate.
But this time I wanted to expand my studies to include a more sociological, gender-based and feminist approach. This interdisciplinary quality would be hard to achieve in a common graduate school, but it is an intrinsic feature of GSICCS. I definitely recommend getting out of your comfort zone and trying many different classes, because they will definitely broaden your understanding of our society!
Also, for my studies and for my personal life, I wanted to interact with people of different nationalities and use both English and Japanese. GSICCS easily allows me to do that, since it has a widely multicultural group of professors and students. I am now finishing the third year of my Doctorate, and have safely turned in my final thesis. I have also found a job at a Japanese university, where I will be working from an administrative position to help other students reach their academic goals, just as Waseda and GSICCS did for me. I am sure that here you will be able to accomplish your goals and face new challenges too!
