When I first moved to WISH, I had just moved from America and it was also my first time living in Tokyo, so I had a lot of anxiety.

What I was most worried about was if I was going to be able to make friends in this completely new environment. I had a very different background, spent my past 7 years in a different country, and looked different from everyone else.

However, the numerous events at WISH helped me fit in to my new surroundings. The events served as a perfect place to assist me in meeting new people and making new friends. At the Welcome Party which took place on the first day I arrived at WISH, I made friends that I’m still really close with 2 years later. Be it the WISH Barbecue, Sports Event, Halloween Party, or Christmas Party, I looked forward to participating in each event at WISH.

I want to make sure that people who comes to the dorm can have the same fun two years as me, which is why I like to be in charge of the events and make sure everyone has a great time. I try my best to make everyone smile and enjoy the events as much as I did, although sometimes my jokes fall flat… My goal is to have everyone participate in the events, and at the end of the two years, be able to say that they made the right choice in coming to WISH.
