Students with diverse perspectives gather at Waseda International Student House (WISH) from all corners of Japan and around the world. WISH is a student dormitory where you can improve yourself by learning from residents who have various backgrounds.
The reasons why I applied for Resident Assistant (RA) are to support residents to get accustomed to new life in WISH, and to make dormitory life more pleasant by cooperating with residents. Also, as an international student RA, I aim to be a bridge between international students and Japanese students, to deepen their interactions, and to provide opportunities for residents to make irreplaceable friends within the dormitory.
As being a RA in WISH, I learn it is important to understand others across cultures. Deeper interactions are made by interacting with residents who have various backgrounds, as if we are the same human regardless of their nationalities and cultures.
Moreover, I found my interests by attending SI program and by living with other residents. Now I am studying hard what I am interested in at the University. I would like to make dormitory a place where we can help each other improve by sharing even my experiences outside of the dormitory.
