This November, a complete new event was created at WISH, called “WISH PERFORMANCE NIGHT”! This event involved dancing, band performances, sort of like the annual school performance in Japanese high schools. Not only that, but this event took place in a Live House, making the first event at WISH that took place outside of our dorm. It was a lot of work planning the whole event, but a total of 34 residents in 12 groups performed dancing, singing, solo performances, clarinet, beatboxing and bands. All of the performances were incredible, including dance groups that performed “Share Happiness” famous from the TV commercials, AKB48, K-Pop, and even a group that presented a traditional Japanese dance. In between the performances, there was an event aiming for a Guinness World Record, and a bingo event. Many people came to the event, including Japanese students, foreign students, and former residents of WISH, and I feel that it was an extremely fun and diverse event represented the vision of WISH. Lastly, I would like to thank all of the RAs and resident supporters that worked hard to plan this event, as well as the residents who came and participated.
