【For Students Entering the Dormitory in April 2019】Rule changes of application for WID/Dormy in application period 3 or 4

For the applicants who apply for WID/Dormy AS A FIRST CHOICE in application period 3 or 4, we change the rules as follows.

[Period 3 (January 11, 2019 – January 25, 2019)]

<Current rule>
Students who have passed the entrance exam are accepted on a first come, first served basis for any dormitory in which they wish to stay.

<After the revision>
For students who have passed the entrance exam, after the application deadline lots will be drawn to assign students to the dormitories of their choice.
[Note 1] However, for dormitories where a sufficient number of rooms has been secured beforehand, rooms may be allotted before the application deadline. Please be assured that in terms of securing a dorm room, this system does not pose any disadvantage for undergraduate enrollees whose entrance examination results are announced later.
[Note 2] If you applied for Waseda University Student Dormitories (WISH, Higashi-Fushimi Student Dormitory or Ichishima Kinen Sendagi Dormitory) as a first choice and applied for WID/Dormy after second choice, drawing lots will be conducted after the result announcement of Waseda University Student Dormitories.
