For those who hold a university acceptance, you can apply for university-operated dormitories and university-affiliated dormitories through the following online form during the application period only once per person.
For those who have already enrolled, please contact the university-affiliated dormitory management company directly to inquire about room availability. Please note that you aren’t eligible to apply for university-operated dormitories.
University-affiliated dormitories are student dormitories managed and operated by external companies or organizations. Waseda University has concluded an agreement for the operation of the dormitory and for the acceptance of Waseda University students.
In the case of affiliated dormitories, the contract that defines the rights and obligations of the resident will be concluded between the resident and the dormitory management company, etc. Waseda University does not have the authority to be the subject of this occupancy agreement and does not act on behalf of the resident.
Please carefully review the terms and conditions of the agreement.
The Tokyo Metropolitan Government has issued a reminder (←Click here to view the Tokyo Metropolitan Government’s website) regarding the lowering of the age of majority (18 y.o.).

Online Request Form ╢

You can apply for Waseda University directly managed dormitories, and affiliated dormitories after receiving the acceptance.
Please check the following URLs for the application procedure and schedule.

Please send Online Request Form.
After you submit the Online Request Form, you will get an Application Number (Application Number will be automatically sent via e-mail).
Afterwards, please proceed with the application process mentioned on 2.

*The web page of Online Request Form will be expired after a certain period of time. When you write essays, we recommend you to write your essay using MS Word or notepad temporarily before inputting it on the Form.
*In case you cannot locate the “Online Request Form”, please reload to refresh the site. To reload, press the “Ctrl” key and the “F5” key simultaneously.

Applying for April 2025 entry to student dormitories :

The application period is as follows. Only one application per person is allowed.

Announcement of results for April 2025 entry to student dormitories:

The schedule for announcing the results of room availability in university-operated dormitories is as follows. Selection results will be sent to the applicant’s e-mail address.

Result of the first period: December 23, 2024 (Mon) or later
Result of the 2nd period: February 7, 2025 (Fri) or later
Result of the 3rd period: March 10, 2025 (Mon) or later

For university-affiliated dormitories, the result of room availability may be announced earlier than the above schedule if you choose the affiliated dormitory as your first choice. The results will be announced by the dormitory management company.
If you apply for the Waseda University directly managed dormitories as your first choice and the affiliated dormitory as your second or lower choice, it may take up to 7 business days after the above date for the announcement of the room assignment results for the second or lower choice.

*The designated date for students entering in April 2025 to move into directly managed dormitories will be the following dates. Please note that the move-in date cannot be moved earlier.

WISH：March 24th(Tue)/25th(Wed)/26th(Thu)
Higashi-Fushimi Student Dormitory：March 24th(Tue)/25th(Wed)

*For those who took a leave of absence due to compulsory military service immediately after entering the university, and plan to return the university, please contact here.

Applying for September 2025 entry to student dormitories :

The application period is as follows.
10:00 a.m. June 12 (Thu) – 4:00 p.m. July 15, 2025 (Tue) <JST>

Announcement of results for September 2025 entry to student dormitories:

The schedule for announcing the results of room availability in university-operated dormitories is as follows. The results will be announced to the applicant via e-mail.

Early August (planned)

For university-affiliated dormitories, the result of room availability may be announced earlier than the above schedule if you choose the affiliated dormitory as your first choice. The results will be announced by the dormitory management company.
If you apply for the Waseda University directly managed dormitories as your first choice and the affiliated dormitory as your second or lower choice, it may take up to 7 business days after the above date for the announcement of the room assignment results for the second or lower choice.

*The designated date for students entering in Sep 2025 to move into directly managed dormitories will be a weekday around the mid-September. Please note that the move-in date cannot be moved earlier.

Dormitory Entrance Documents

After you are informed of the result, you will be required to sign a dormitory agreement according to the following schedule.
As part of the contract to enter the dormitory, you will be required to transfer 5-6 months’ dormitory fees, deposit, and other initial expenses. Please prepare in advance.

April enrollment
【Period 1&2】The university will send a set of contract documents via E-mail on February 10, 2025 (Mon).
Submission deadline: February 25 (Tue).
【Period 3】The university will send a set of contract documents via E-mail on March 10, 2025 (Mon).
Submission deadline: Mid-March (planned)

September enrollment
The university will send a set of contract documents via E-mail on Mid-August (planned).
Submission deadline: Late August (planned).
