In order to develop awareness of risks mainly related to research misconduct and misuse of public research funds and to share crisis consciousness and knowledge, on-demand content is provided at Waseda Moodle as one of the “Self-Management Seminar for Faculty & Staff”.
(1) Log in to My Waseda.
(2) Select “Learning Support” from the menu in the left pane.
(3) From the list displayed under “Learning Support,” select “Waseda Moodle”.
(4) Select “Self Management Seminar for Faculty and Staff” from the “Course Overview”.
(5) Select “Seminar on Academic Research Ethics”
*To complete the seminar, you must view all of the video content of the seminar on Waseda Moodle, and you must get a perfect score on the comprehension test.
◆If you have completed the “Seminar on Academic Research Ethics” (updated April 2025), you do not need to retake the course until the next update (April 2028). |
* If you are not teaching or researching full-time at Waseda University and any of the following applies
to you, you are required to complete the seminar.
– Visiting Research Fellow (limited to individuals who have a positive balance of public research funds as of July 1)
– Visiting Faculty (limited to individuals who have a positive balance of public research funds as of July 1)
– Professor Emeritus /Emerita (limited to individuals who have a positive balance of public research funds as of July 1)
– Adjunct Researcher (limited to individuals who have a positive balance of public research funds as of July 1)
* The above will separately receive the request to complete the seminar after July and are required to complete it within the same year.
* If you are a Professor Emeritus/Emerita, you will be asked to complete the seminar using a different method from the above. Details will be separately provided to you by the Research Management Section.
