Center for Japanese Language will change the certificate issuance fee starting May 1, 2023. If you apply for issuing a certificate on or after May 1, 2023, you will be required to pay the revised certificate fee.
- Starting May 1, 2023, the certificate issuance fees will be revised. If you are requesting a certificate by postal mail, the fee will be 300 yen per copy for requests postmarked until April 30, 2023 (Sun). Certificates will be 400 yen per copy for requests postmarked starting May 1, 2023 (Mon). If the Postal Money Order (定額小為替: Teigaku-kogawase) enclosed is insufficient, you will be required to send additional fees which compensate for the insufficient amount.In addition to the certificate issuance fee, a printing fee (60 yen per copy) is required if the certificate is issued at a convenience store, and a postage fee is required if the certificate is sent by mail.
- Due to the changes in the certificate issuance system, we will stop accepting requests/issuing certificates between April 29 to May 8, 2023. If you have sent us a request via postal mail during this period, please note that it may take longer to issue the certificate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
