Students in the Master’s Course of the Graduate School of Information, Production and Systems are required to have completed a research ethics course (“Introduction to Academic and Research Integrity (For Life Sciences, Biological Science, Sciences, and Engineering)”, a course offered by the Global Education Center (GEC)) within one year after admission.
1. Target students
Students who entered the Master’s Program of the Graduate School of IPS in April 2024 or later.
*For those enrolled in the academic year 2025 (April 2025 or later), both regular students and extended students should take the course eligible.
*Students enrolled in September 2023 can make the midterm presentation at April 2025 without taking the course.
2. Course completion
As a general rule, the course should be completed by the end of the first year.
It is recommended to take the course in the first semester after the enrollment.
3.Course to be taken
Introduction to Academic and Research Fairness (Life Sciences, Science and Engineering)” (GEC course)
※ Students who have not passed the above within one year of enrollment, as well as students who are extended students from April 2025 onward, are required to take the “eL CoRE” (Japanese/English) (for graduate students) course provided by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science and submit the completion certificate to the IPS Office.
