At the Fujimura Laboratory, we stand at the vanguard of marrying information technology with the dynamic sphere of manufacturing. Our research mission is broad and ambitious,aimed at devising next-generation production information systems with a keen focus on:

• Refining production schedules via heuristic algorithms to bolster both flexibility and operational efficiency.

• Developing Agent-oriented Scheduling Systems that deploy software agents for proactive and independent decision-making processes.

• Innovating in Abnormal State Prediction by leveraging neural networks and time series analytics to preemptively identify system irregularities.

• Incorporating state-of-the-art technologies like IoT, AR, VR, and MR into production environments, providing transformative assistance to the industry.

Our research is underpinned by a deep understanding of Operational Research and HeuristicMethods, vital for enhancing production and scheduling efficiencies. We also expect diverse academic skills and celebrate the breadth of knowledge that comes from a variety of disciplines.

Our weekly seminars and discussions, steered by the affable Professor Fujimura, create a nurturing space for developing researchers. Professor Fujimura is a figure of warmth and approachability, always ready to lend an ear to students’ voices and adept at addressing their concerns. In recent years, with the strong support of Prof. Fujimura, members of our lab have presented several papers at academic conferences both in Japan and abroad.
