IPS requested to Mr. Marcos F. Rodríguez Costa, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Cuba, to have a special lecture at IPS, and he gave a lecture, “The past, present, and future of Cuba, advancing relationship with Japan” on 7 July 2016.
It was a Japanese traditional day, called Tanabata, and his birthday coincidentally. That is why, after the ambassador’s lecture, IPS celebrated him with a live performance of Happy birthday song, a hand-made birthday cake, Japanese traditional tea, sweets and some Tanabata decoration performed by the IPS official student tea party.
