About the “Provisional Laboratory Assignment – 1st Round”

Eligible students must contact the faculty member(s) of the laboratory they wish to join by email and conduct an interview or other necessary meeting(s) between March 25 (Wednesday) and April 8 (Wednesday).
*Please refer to this page to find each faculty member’s email address and research information.

When emailing a faculty member, you must use the following subject line:

“(April 2026 Entrant) Application for Provisional Laboratory Assignment”

In the body of the email, clearly state your student ID number and full name, and attach the completed “Self-Introduction Sheet for Laboratory Assignment” (available at the bottom of this page).
You are strongly advised to send a polite and professional email.

After sending an email or completing an interview, if you decide not to request assignment to a particular laboratory, you must inform that faculty member of your decision. Failure to do so may cause serious problems and could result in you not being assigned to any laboratory during the 1st round.

Please check the maximum number of students for laboratory assignment for each laboratory in the excerpt from the Course Registration Guidance materials held on March 24 (also to be posted at the bottom of this page).
