Since its first issue in 1925(Taisho 14), “The Waseda Journal of Political Science and Economics” has passed through the Showa and Heisei eras and is scheduled to reach its 400th issue this academic year. Since the transition to a peer-reviewed journal with a submission system starting with Issue No. 354 in 2004, we have received contributions from many people who are not members of our Society. We would like to express our gratitude to them.
On the other hand, there are many other academic journals, both in Japan and abroad, that publish scholarly research papers that meet the Society’s purpose of “academic research and enlightenment on politics and economics”. In light of these circumstances, the Board of Trustees of the Waseda Society of Political Science and Economics, which met in April of this year, decided to suspend publication of the journal. Therefore, if you are currently considering submitting a paper to the journal, please contact the editorial committee of the journal by e-mail by Thursday, June 6, 2024. Our e-mail address is indicated at the end of the “Rules for paper submission”.
