Paralympic bronze medalist Hajimu Ashida reports his experience at the Rio Games

On September 27, Hajimu Ashida, who took home the bronze medal in the 4×100 relay at the Rio de Janeiro Paralympic Games, visited the Faculty of Political Science and Economics to report the national team’s victory. Ashida is an alumnus of the School of Political Science and Economics, who recently graduated in 2016.

Ashida shares his experience at the Rio de Janeiro Paralympics

 In this debrief session, Ashida said that his motivation to participate in the Rio de Janeiro Paralympics arose when he was watching the London Games on TV. He also talked about his parents, who were there the moment Japan won the bronze medal, as well as the atmosphere of the stadium and the city of Rio de Janeiro during the Paralympics. Furthermore, he expressed his visions for the Tokyo Paralympic Games in 2020.

At the end of the session, the Faculty’s Senior Dean Koichi Suga presented a gift to Ashida, celebrating his achievement in the Paralympics.
