Tuition
| If you wish to register or change your tuition and fees withdrawal account, access the “Payment of Tuition and Fees” page on the Waseda University Accounting Section website, and refer to the “Payment of Tuition and Fees” section for detailed instructions. Please be aware that the procedure may not completed in time for the next payment depending on the timing of application. |
Current students may refer to 『Support Anywhere』and the “School Study Guide” distributed when enrolling. In case you have lost your copy, please come to the SPSE Office to refer to it.
※Students (English-based Degree Program) who wish to be enrolled for longer than the standard four-year term of study, please read the guidance here.

Scholarships
Waseda University offers a wide range of scholarship programs.
These include Waseda’s own internal scholarships, scholarships provided by the Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO), and external scholarships offered by local governments and private organizations.
Among these, loan-type scholarships must be repaid after graduation, while grant-type scholarships do not require repayment.
All of Waseda’s internal scholarships are grant-based, and the university boasts one of the highest numbers of recipients and total grant amounts among universities in Japan.

Asian Future Leaders Scholarship Program

As one of its anchor universities, Waseda University is participating in the Asian Future Leaders Scholarship Program (AFLSP). The AFLSP grants scholarships to high-calibre Asian students who wish to study away from their home country or region at one of BXAI’s Partner Universities. Under the administration of Bai Xian Asia Institute (BXAI), the AFLSP provides a platform on which students and educational institutions can cultivate lasting relationships based on mutual trust and understanding ‐‐‐ essential tools for building bridges across cultures.
Amount of Scholarship
900,000 Japanese yen per semester
Eligibility
- Excellent grades, with a GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale at the time of application
- Citizenship of an Asian country or region other than Japan
- High proficiency in English
- Possess strong personal integrity, propensity for international and intercultural understanding, compassion and willingness to serve and demonstrate his/her alignment with BXAI’s mission and vision
- Prospective third year student at the time of receiving this scholarship
Once selected, all scholarship recipients must:
- Remain enrolled at Waseda University as full-time students for the duration of their studies under the AFLSP
- Fulfill the GPA requirement as stipulated by Waseda University and BXAI
- Participate in the BXAI Summer Program
- Participate in all enrichment opportunities as arranged and required by Waseda, as well as any other activities arranged by BXAI
