There may be no better place than Tokyo for studying Asia-Pacific issues. As the center of national life and a preeminent global city, Tokyo’s concentration of academic and professional resources, contacts, and institutions is unrivaled. Waseda students enjoy access to all the vast, rich opportunities that Tokyo has to offer. Tokyo is also a perfect launching place for exploring culture throughout Japan as well as Asia.

Housing in Tokyo

LL.M. students can apply for housing in Waseda’s new residence hall for international students, which will be completed in April, 2018.

You will also find plenty of affordable housing options in the Waseda area. Waseda University runs a housing office (Residence Life Center) to help you find what you need.

A Supportive Community

At Waseda’s Intercultural Communication Center (ICC), students can find a community of Japanese and international peers who are ready to help you adjust to life in Japan. The ICC offers various resources and programs to make sure you feel comfortable in your new environment. Visit the ICC website for details.

Waseda Alumni Club

When you become a Waseda student, you are joining a global network of successful alumni that spans across age, gender, locale, and profession. There are more than 1,300 local chapters of the Waseda Alumni Club throughout the world, with more than total members. No matter where you are or what you do, there is sure to be a Waseda Alumni Club nearby that will serve you well in life.
